Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 1, 2026

Overview

PLASMA is an open-source protocol and set of local desktop tools. Your privacy is straightforward: we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.

What PLASMA does

PLASMA consists of three local components:

All three components run entirely on your computer. No data is sent to PLASMA servers because there are no PLASMA servers. The communication between Claude and the PLASMA components happens locally through the MCP protocol.

Data collection

PLASMA does not collect any data. Specifically:

The helloplasma.org website

This website is a static site with no backend. It does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics services, or any form of visitor monitoring. No server logs are collected beyond standard web server access logs maintained by the hosting provider for operational purposes.

Your conversations with Claude

When you use PLASMA through Claude Desktop, your conversations are handled by Anthropic under their own privacy policy. PLASMA has no access to your conversation history, prompts, or any data exchanged between you and Claude.

Third-party MCP connectors

If you connect external data sources to Claude through MCP (such as Salesforce, Jira, or other services), those connections are governed by the respective third-party privacy policies. PLASMA does not intermediate, log, or store any data flowing through those connectors.

Open source

The PLASMA source code is publicly available on GitHub. You can inspect exactly what the software does.
